PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make image defects to be generated in printed images unrecognizable by improving the arrangement of an ejector array in a printing head. SOLUTION: An imaging system is provided with the printing head including a plurality of ejectors 38 arranged in one or more sequence groups 55, 57 and 59. Each of the ejectors has a sequence number 40 assigned thereto. The sequence number 40 ranges from a minimum number to a maximum number within each sequence group. The plurality of ejectors have an arrangement such that a difference between the sequence number assignment of any two adjacent ejectors is smaller than a difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the sequence number.
