PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the processing time per unit image. SOLUTION: An image is recorded by sticking recording liquid drops ejected from a linear recording head 46 to a long recording material 62 and solvent in the recording liquid drops sticking to the recording material 62 is removed at a heating/drying section 50. After a transparent sheet material is laminated onto the image recording plane at a laminating section 52, the recording material 62 recorded with an image is cut into a plurality of pieces by means of a first cutter 56 along the boundary of the recorded image extending in the widthwise direction. The piece recorded with a plurality of images is delivered onto a carrying belt 86 and, while being carried on the carrying belts 86 and 90, it is cut into each image and collected at a print collecting section 60 through the carrying belt 90. The piece recorded with a single image is collected at the print collecting section 60 through carrying belts 88 and 100.
