PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method for thermal head in which dirt adhering to a thermal head is wiped off sufficiently and unevenness of print is suppressed. SOLUTION: In the cleaning method for thermal head, dirt adhering to a thermal head is wiped off using a solution containing an oxidizing agent or a reducing agent.
