PURPOSE: An opening and closing apparatus for saving water is provided to improve endurance by operating accurately with a ceramic opening plate and the ceramic packing, and to cut down expenses by reducing waste with opening and closing automatically according to gravity, hydraulic pressure or friction. CONSTITUTION: A magnet(32) is embedded in a faucet(1), and an opening unit(2) inserting an O-ring(3) is combined with a discharge pipe(7). A partition(4) is formed between an inlet part(5) and an outlet part(6), and packing(114,14) inserting an O-ring is attached to the partition. Opening plates(111,11) are supported in the packing by a spring(115). An upper end(10) of a lever(16) is contacted to the upper part of the outlet part, and the lever is surrounded by a covered grip(18). A hole(9) is opened with pushing the opening plate in pressing an operating part(13) of the lever. The lever is operated in a groove(23) of the opening unit, and fitted to a fitting sill. Convenience is improved by opening and closing automatically with an electronic sensor(119) and a solenoid(118), and waste is prevented with reducing discharge of water.
