NOVEL TRICHOSPORON SPECIES AND METHOD FOR DISPOSING OF WASTE WATER OR WASTE GAS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are novel strain, Trichosporon loubieri Y1-A(KCTC 18079P) and a method for disposing of waste water or waste gas using a carrier or a filter fixed with Trichosporon loubieri Y1-A(KCTC 18079P). CONSTITUTION: The novel strain, Trichosporon loubieri Y1-A(KCTC 18079P), decomposes toxic chemical materials in waste water or waste gas. It is isolated from the soil around Yeo-su area by the steps of: mixing 1g of the soil with 1 L of sterilized water and stirring the mixture at 1000rpm; holding it for 10-30 minutes then obtaining a supernatant therefrom; mixing 1 ml of the supernatant with 9 ml of sterilized water for dilution; mixing 1 ml of the diluted solution with 50 ml of broth containing phenol as a carbon source with maintaining pH6.5 using a buffer solution; and culturing the broth at 30 deg.C and separating the strain.
