ROD SUPPORT DEVICE OF EXTERNAL FIXING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A rod support device of an external fixing apparatus is provided to simplify the structure and the installation of the support device and enable to connect a support bar at different angles by connecting the both ends of support bars to universal joints. CONSTITUTION: In an external fixing apparatus that a rod(24) is installed to a ring(20) surrounding the bone in a longitudinal direction of the bone by interposing a ring connecter and the rod is provided with a plurality of pin clamps coupled with pins to be fixed into the bone, the rod support device consists of an auxiliary clamp(30) coupled to the lower end of the rod, and support bars(46) connecting the auxiliary clamp with the ring. The both ends of the support bar are connected to universal joints(42,50).
