PURPOSE: A gas meter is provided to accurately discriminate digital representations displayed on the gas meter, while achieving simple internal structure of the gas meter and accurately counting the numbers operated by the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION: A gas meter comprises a main body including a slider coupled to a diaphragm and mounted within the main body, and a cavity having a hole with a protruded screw part; a rotor which is connected at one end to a rotary slider after passing through the hole formed at the cavity, and which is exposed at the other end, wherein the rotor is rotated by the operation of the diaphragm, and has a magnetic member arranged at a section of a side surface of the rotor; a detector(60) for detecting rotational frequency of the rotor; and a display unit(70) for displaying the rotational frequency detected by the detector.
