FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: monolythic dividing plate is placed vertically in hot top. Said plate is made of wood material and it has pointed ribs. It is possible to place several plates or cross-like plate. At pouring metal to mold said plate divides hot top by portions and it burns out. In order to remove hot top, percussion load is applied to its upper part at side of flat dividing surface of plate. It simplifies removal of hot top. Additional heat separated at plate burning out provides condition for making up casting by heat.
