FIELD: chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composites used for water treatment. Proposed composite for water treatment includes alkaline metal hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, sodium chloride and water being lithium hypochlorite is used as alkaline metal hypochlorite and solution comprises potassium chloride additionally in the following ratio of components, wt.-%: lithium hypochlorite, 8-14; sodium hydroxide, 0.5-1.5; sodium chloride, 10-15; potassium chloride, 2-4; water, the balance, up to 100%. This composite provides high disinfecting activity and retains properties for prolonged time. Invention can be used for treatment of drinking water and swimming pools water.
