FIELD: method of production of ammonia from synthesis-gas and converters for realization of this method. SUBSTANCE: three separate flows of fresh synthesis gas are introduced into ammonia converter which has at least two layers of catalysts located in succession; second and third flows of synthesis-gas pass through stages of heat exchanger where they are heated by flows escaping from first catalyst layer; heated flows are mixed with first flow of synthesis-gas and are fed to first catalyst layer; partially converted synthesis-gas is used for heating second and third flows and is fed to at least second layer of catalyst.
