PURPOSE: A shift lever of an automatic transmission is provided to improve the quality by minimizing deformation with assembling parts of the shift lever through press-fitting, and to reduce parts, assembling process and expenses by injection-molding parts integrally. CONSTITUTION: A shift lever for an automatic transmission is composed of a shift lever pipe(2) installing a select knob operated by a driver, and an operating member(6) press-fitted to the lower part of the shift lever pipe, connected to a cable, and combined with a bracket(4) with rotating. The operating member has a pipe fixing part(20) fixing the lower part of the shift lever pipe, a cable connecting part(22) integrally connected to the pipe fixing part and a cable(32), and a hinge pipe part(24) integrally connected to the lower part of the pipe fixing part and combined with the bracket. Endurance is improved with preventing deformation by press-fitting parts, and parts are reduced with integrally forming the operating member.
