PURPOSE: Remaining pressure discharge structure of an automatic transmission for a vehicle is provided to improve responsiveness of hydraulic pressure in re-supplying oil by completely draining oil collected in the end with centrifugal force at high-speed rotation. CONSTITUTION: A remaining pressure discharge system of an automatic transmission is composed of a control unit(C) having a band brake and a clutch to constrain and release rotational force from a torque converter through hydraulic pressure according to speed range; and a differential gear transmitting output from a planetary gear set to wheels of a vehicle. The clutch has a retainer(1) forming a sub chamber(1a) by supplying and charging oil in operating, and by collecting remaining oil in the end with centrifugal force in discharging. A piston(2) is restored by a return spring in the retainer, and a discharge end(2a) is formed in the edge of the piston to discharge oil from the sub chamber. Responsiveness is improved with supplying oil again by discharging oil completely.
