PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic EL element of excellent characteristics, of which lamination of organic layers is possible by coating. SOLUTION: In forming organic layers of a lower layer side and an upper layer side to be laminated, the organic layers of the lower layer side are to be ones containing polymer EL materials and the organic layers of the upper layer side are formed in coating with one or more kinds of compounds selected from: (1) a chained compound with total carbon number of 3 to 6 containing in its molecules one or more groups selected from an alkoxy group, a carbonyl group with carbon number of 1 to 3, and an ester group with carbon number of 2 to 3 and yet containing a hydroxyl group atαand/orβpositions of these groups, (2) a chained compound with total carbon number of 3 to 6 having in its molecules a dialkylamide group with carbon number of 2 to 4, (3) ester that is a chained compound with total carbon number of 5 to 8, and (4) carbonate that is a chained compound with total carbon number of 4 to 7 as coating solvents.
