(METH)ACRYLIC BLOCK COPOLYMER AND DISPERSING AGENT FOR NONAQUEOUS PAINT PIGMENT CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a (meth)acrylic block copolymer usable as a dispersant capable of sufficiently homogeneously dispersing a non-aqueous paint pigment with small amount and giving excellent weather resistance and water resistance to a membrane formed by applying a paint. SOLUTION: The (meth)acrylic block copolymer is obtained by block- copolymerizing 10-60 pts.wt. of an alkyl alcohol ester containing an amino group or ammonium group of (meth)acrylic acid to 10-85 pts.wt. of an alcohol ester of (meth)acrylic acid and 5-30 pts.wt. of a terminal (meth)acryloyl group- containing macromonomer. The block copolymer has a weight average molecular weight of 4,000-100,000.
