PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master phone in a master-slave telephone system which can form a radio communication channel of less noise between the master and slave phones. SOLUTION: Upon receiving an outside line call, the power of a slave phone 300 is turned on the way and the user of the slave phone 300 depresses the call key to transmit a telephone request signal to a main phone. The main phone transmits the call channel data included in a response signal (ACK) to the slave phone 300 (step S103). Then, the slave phone 300 tunes the channel to the communication channel in the ACK signal to form a speech path between the main tuner of the main phone and the slave phone 300 (steps S104 to S106).
