PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an area flowmeter with a temperature sensor for visually informing an operator of the fouling tendency and the fault cause in a system for controlling the temperature of a rotary body by using especially a rotary joint, and provide a temperature control abnormality detection device for monitoring with the instrument. SOLUTION: In the temperature controlling system for rotary body for executing temperature control by using especially a temperature control liquid by proposing a sheathed type temperature sensor on a support shaft 14 of this area flowmeter, fluctuation patterns of the passing flow rate and the outlet temperature of the temperature control liquid are acquired beforehand, and the normality or abnormality of the system can be judged simply even by an operator in the daily operation.
