PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum toilet system and a filter, which rapidly eliminate clogging of piping by facilitating work for removing foreign matter and which prevent inconvenience from being forced upon a user. SOLUTION: In the vacuum toilet system in which sewage inside a toilet bowl 1 is vacuum-sucked in for elimination through the fixed piping 2a, 2b and 2c, the filter 10 for preventing the clogging of the fixed piping 2a, 2b and 2c is installed inside an elbow pipe 5 provided between the toilet bowl 1 and the fixed piping 2a. The filter 10 is formed in such a manner that a rod-shaped part 12 in a diametral direction is provided inside a ring-shaped outer ring 11.
