PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to ensure excellent recording characteristics with an optical information recording medium having a reflection layer consisting of a metal with a low melting point such as Al and Ag, a protecting layer and a recording layer, which are formed in this order on its substrate, due to its reduced CNR caused by the unevenness in the interface between the reflection layer and the protecting layer. SOLUTION: A metal film layer with a melting point of at least 2,000 deg.C is formed on the substrate, and then the protecting layer and the recording layer are formed on it in this order. By this constitution, the interface between the metal layer and the protecting layer is made even to improve the CNR. As a result, the optical information recording medium having the excellent recording characteristics and its production method are provided. |
