PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for specifying and linking a position of a remote software component distributed over a distributed network environment according to the specified attribute and without the need for prior knowledge of an address or location of the component. SOLUTION: In a system and method for accessing to software component, interface or resource in a distributed network system, a request 220 on the component with at least one specified attribute is generated to broadcast it via the network, and the request 220 is received at a service provider to compare at least one specified attribute of the received request 220 with an attribute of a component of the provider, so that a response is transmitted to a service consumer 214 who made the request 220.
