PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of an AC electric moor becoming uncontrollable during on-delay time, only when the upper and lower transistors of the same phase are turned off simultaneously, and that current responsiveness in the case of small current command deteriorates significantly, in an AC electric motor controller having a three-phase voltage type PWM inverter. SOLUTION: In this current control method for the AC electric motor in which the nominal value of motor winding resistance Rn, a parameter within a feedforward control system structured with an inversed model of a motor to be controlled, is made variable to be proportional to the reciprocol of a current command, and is updated in synchronization with the carrier frequency of a PWM signal.
