PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image composition processing apparatus that can provide a composite image from 1st and 2nd images with a simple configuration without the need for a complicated circuit. SOLUTION: Scan circuits 22, 32 sequentially read a 1st image (base image) 21 and a 2nd image (texture image) 31 in the unit of pixels, a separate circuit 23 separates the 1st image 21 into data for each pigment, a separate circuit 33 separates the 2nd image 31 into data for each pigment and opaque informationαand gives them to composition circuits 41-43. The composition circuits 41-43 combine data of the images 21, 31 for each pigment in the unit of bits to generate composite data corresponding to each value of the opaque informationα, selects the composition data corresponding to the valueαdesignated for the pixel, an RGB composition circuit 51 applies composition processing to the selected data to generate a composite image 52. Thus, the image composition processing apparatus can provide the composite image with a simple circuit configuration without calculating the composition value by using a complicated circuit. |
