PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant superior quality service for all customers and achieve promotion of efficiency by managing an image input-output device for every customer at a service center through a network line. SOLUTION: The service center detects a newer version software component than information saved in customer information (S1), which is notified to the image input-output device (S2). The image input-output device receives the notification and inquires whether a user replaces it to the new version (S3). When the user orders updating by using a control panel (S4), the contents are notified to the service center (S5, S6), and a purchasing procedure is made in the service center (S7). Upon completion, the notification is informed to the image input-output device (S8). The image input-output device receives an installing request (S9), sets up connection with the service center, and executes download of the software component (S10). |
