PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing the deterioration of color toner and also preventing the turn-up of a cleaning blade caused by the winding of the cleaning blade into an endless belt as an image forming device having a developing device equipped with at least a black developing unit and a color developing unit. SOLUTION: In the case of forming a toner image for preventing the turn-up of the cleaning blade, whether a copying mode is a black monochrome mode or not is judged (step 1). When judging that it is the black monochrome mode, a line image for preventing the turn-up of the blade is formed at a non-image part after finishing a copying job by a 1st developing unit 1 (black developing unit) (step 2). On the other hand, in a mode other than the black monochrome mode at the step 1, that is, in a red monochrome mode and a two-color mode, a solid image for preventing the turn-up of the blade is formed at the non-image part after finishing the copying job by a 2nd developing unit 2 (red developing unit) (step 3). |
