PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folded type mobile phone, the upper and lower cases of which are hinged in a freely opened/closed way by means of a hinge, that is designed to have a low profile and to have enhanced stability when the mobile phone is placed on a desk or the like while the cases are opened. SOLUTION: In the mobile phone where the upper case 1 with a board 5 in its inside and the lower case 2 with a board 6 in its inside on which components are respectively mounted are hinged by a hinge section 4 in a freely foldable way, the upper case has a rod antenna 3, a large-sized component 7 among the components is placed to around the peripheral part of the hinge on the board of the upper case, a large-sized component 8 among the components is placed to a tip of the board opposite to the hinge on the board of the lower case so as to increase a torque exerted to the lower case in an opposite direction of the torque exerted to the upper case more than the torque exerted to the upper case when the mobile phone is placed on a desk or the like while both the cases are opened. The rear side of the upper case is tilted from the hinge section toward the tip opposite to the hinge section and the rear side of the lower case is tilted toward the hinge section from the tip opposite to the hinge section.
