PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying reaction products which is capable to obtain highly purified saturated cyclic epoxy compounds by solving problems in conventional methods of manufacturing saturated cyclic epoxy compounds, thus after being finished the nuclear hydrogenation, some of by-products are contained in the reaction products formed by ring-opening reaction of some portions of epoxy groups, and the selective ratio of the desired product is lowered in accordance with increasing of the equivalence of the epoxy group. SOLUTION: The method for purifying saturated cyclic epoxy compounds of the present invention is characterized by nuclear-hydrogenating the benzene ring in an aromatic epoxy compound having at least one epoxy group in the molecule, by using a ruthenium-carrying catalyst to obtain saturated cyclic epoxy compound, then extraction and removal of the by-products being formed are conducted by using two-layer type liquid phase/liquid phase of the above- mentioned saturated cyclic epoxy compounds with n-hexane.
