PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycling method of a magnetic recording medium, which can recycle magnetic particles contained in a magnetic layer of a magnetic recording medium and recover or properly decomposit the low molecule materials obtained in the process of recycling. SOLUTION: This recycling method of a magnetic recording medium is featured in that the magnetic recording medium is chemically decomposited by using high temperature and high-pressure water to recover the low molecule organic materials and magnetic particles contained in the magnetic recording medium.
