PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents searching technology capable of improving convenience of contents searching. SOLUTION: In a system for contents searching, more than one keyword, specified images and sounds related to each keyword are inputted into an indexing processing part 21 by an operator from a keyboard and the like. Next, in contents 50, while an image recognizing processing part 21a detects a time period of the contents 50 in which a scene corresponding to an inputted specified image is appeared, an audio recognizing processing part 21b detects a time period of the contents 50 in which audio corresponding to inputted specified sounds is appeared. Then, relating information on the detected time period to keywords generates an index file 55. By using the file 55, it becomes possible to search the contents 50 in consideration of the period, so that the convenience of contents searching is improved.
