The present invention relates to Hu antigen-derived peptides and to their us e, and more particularly to their use in the diagnostic, in the prevention and in the treatment of certain types of cancer and neuronal damage. The immunogenic peptides of the invention are capable of generating cytotoxic CD8 T- lymphocytes (CTLs) which may eliminate undesirable cells such as SCLC cancerous cell, without reacting against non-cancerous such as neural cells. The invention also provides nucleotides coding these immunogenic peptides and antibodies bindin g thereto.
