SOLUTION: This door handle device comprises a handle body 5 having a mounting part 52 mounted on the panel member 11 of a vehicle door 1 and fixed to the panel member 11 and a grip part 51 arranged with a prescribed space to the panel member 11; a sensing member 61 arranged within the handle body 5; an operating member 63 movably supported on the grip part 5 to operate the sensing member 61; and an energizing member 64 arranged between the handle body 5 and the operating member 63 to energize the sensing member 51 in the direction opposite to the direction for moving it in order to operate the sensing member 61.
