PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for manufacturing laminated iron core, by which the product performance of a laminated iron core can be stabilized by improving the flatness of punched iron core plates having external core back sections which are weakened by openings, such as slots, etc., by preventing deformation of the core back sections. SOLUTION: In the method, the laminated iron core is manufactured by obtaining iron core plates with reinforcing members, by fitting easily removable reinforcing members 16 for the core back sections to the openings 13 of the punched iron core plates 11, having the weakened external core back sections 15; after the iron core plates with the reinforcing members have been blanked and laminated upon another, the reinforcing members 16 are removed; and the device for manufacturing the laminated iron core is constituted of a cut and carry die, with which the method can be performed easily.
