摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery, together with a manufacturing method therefor, wherein a jacket vessel does not expand even after initial discharging, temperature rising, or the like, with its external dimension always kept within a prescribed specification. SOLUTION: The battery comprises a wound electrode 3 in which a positive electrode comprising a positive electrode active material layer and a negative electrode comprising a negative electrode active material layer are stacked with a separator containing an electrolyte in between, and a jacket vessel 4 housing the wound electrode 3. An electromotive force is generated based on occlusion and release of lithium ion in the positive electrode active material layer and the negative electrode active material layer. The jacket vessel 4 is provided with two or more separately sealed holes. The electrolyte is injected through an injection hole 41 which is one of them, while the gas inside the jacket vessel 4 is exhausted outside through an exhaust hole 42 which is the other one.
