PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel type power storage device capable of reducing the whole dimensions thereof and solving the problem of dangerous speed. SOLUTION: A rotor iron core 28 has both flywheel function and the function of a disk for thrust magnetic bearing, and the thrust magnetic bearing 31 is arranged so as to face the upper face 34 of the iron core. Further, the above bearing 31 and an upper radial magnetic bearing 29 are arranged at one location. Alternatively, the iron core, the upper face of which is made as a slant inclined downward or upward from its rotational center side toward the outer peripheral side, has the flywheel function and the function of the disk for magnetic bearing, and a thrust/radial magnetic bearing is arranged at a slant so as to face the upper face of the iron core and is provided with the functions of thrust magnetic bearing and upper radial magnetic bearing. Besides, the outer periphery of the rotor iron core is surrounded by a circular ring-like CFRP(carbon fiber reinforced plastics). |
