<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To advantageously maintain airtightness of a fixing packing for a flange joint by reducing tightening errors of each bolt, when the fixing packing is pressed between both flange members in a method pipe. SOLUTION: This fixing packing comprises a packing body provided with a center-hole corresponding to internal diameter of the pipe, a hollow part of the packing body for sealing in a filling fluid or air, and a number of internal projections arranged dispersedly on the inside surface of a side wall in the hollow part. When tightening both flange members, compression deformation of the packing body is reduced by the internal projections in the hollow part, and airtightness is maintained by compressing by fluidizing the filling fluid and air.</p> |
