PHOTOSENSITIVE CERAMIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING POLYCARBONATE POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polycarbonate polymer and the use thereof in a photosensitive composition and a tape. SOLUTION: This polymer comprises a repeating unit of a repeating unit represented by the formula (IV). The photosensitive composition comprises an admixture of (a) finely divided particles of inorganic solids selected from ceramics, metals, metal oxides or metal alloys with (b) finely divided particles of an inorganic binder having a glass transition temperature within the range of 550-825 deg.C in <=10 m<2> /g surface area/weight ratio and at least 95 wt.% of the particles having 1-10 μm size dispersed in an organic vehicle comprising (c) the polymer, (d) a photoinitiation system and (e) an organic medium. The composition can be utilized as the tape by removing the organic medium. In the given composition, the polymer can be replaced by the polycarbonate resulting from the polymerization of 5-carbomethoxy-5-methyl-1,3-dioxin-2-one.
