PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make image display easily visible at compositing and displaying the images of a plurality of on-vehicle cameras. SOLUTION: A plurality of cameras CAM1-8 for image picking up the neighborhoods of its own vehicle are mounted on a vehicle, and at compositing the respective camera images and displaying it on the screen of a display device 16, the pixel data of the respective camera images constituting the composit images are corrected so that the difference of the pixel data between the adjacent camera images can be reduced. For example, the mean values of the pixel data between the adjacent camera images are corrected so as to be equal. Thus, the composit image is turned into an easily visible image, and displayed at a monitor device 16.
