PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To abolish a reverse signal valve, having the function for supplying pilot pressure to a pilot chamber of a clutch pressure valve and the function for preventing misoperations of a lockup clutch. SOLUTION: This hydraulic control device for the continuously variable transmission, having a continuously variable transmission main body having two pulleys and a belt, a torque converter with the lockup clutch and a forward/ reverse switching device has a manual valve 92 for switching the hydraulic pressure to an oil chamber 54 for forward and an oil chamber 64 for reverse of the forward/reverse switching device, a switching valve 87 for switching hydraulic pressure to an apply chamber 26 and a release chamber 25 of the lockup clutch, a clutch pressure valve 80 for regulating the hydraulic pressure supplied to each of the oil chamber 54 for forward, the oil chamber 64 for reversing and the apply chamber 26 and a pilot pressure passage 94 for linking the oil chamber 54 for forwarding and a pilot chamber 80a of the clutch pressure valve 80. The pilot pressure passage 94 is linked with a pilot chamber 87a of the switch valve 87, and a lockup selector valve 87b is provided in the pilot pressure passage 94. |
