PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the name of not a facility difficult to be marked but an object easily marked automatically registerable as a memory spot. SOLUTION: This navigation device equipped with a function for registering a spot designated on a map as the memory spot is equipped with an information storage means 3 for storing the names and the kinds of objects, a retrieval means 4 for retrieving the name of the object to be registered based on the coordinate of the designated spot and the kind of the object, and a registration means 4 for registering the name of the object retrieved by the retrieval means corresponding to the coordinate of the designated spot.
