PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a seal structure in a cylinder by enabling the easy installation of a seal body to a rod guide of the cylinder. SOLUTION: The cylinder 4 is provides with a cylinder tube 9, the rod guide 11 closing an opening of a cylinder port 10 of the cylinder tube 9, a piston inserted in the cylinder port 10, a piston rod penetrating a through-hole 19 formed in the rod guide 11 and extending from the piston to the outside of the rod guide 11, an annular recess part 21 opened toward the cylinder port 10 formed on the inner perimeter of the through-hole 19, and a seal body 22 sealing the rod guide 11 fitted in the recess part 21 and the piston rod 20. A slip stopping projection 33 preventing the seal body 22 from slipping off is integrally formed at an end of the cylinder port 10 side in the axial direction in the inner perimeter of the recess part 21.
