PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the erroneous recognition of any similar address in the case of recognizing an address from address words recognized in a plurality of areas. SOLUTION: An address dictionary 23 is provided with information indicating what word, which word, and which address an applied address word exists in. An address preparing means 21 selects a plurality of address candidates from the address word inputted as input data 1 by using the address dictionary, and an address identifying means 22 outputs the address indicating the most satisfactory likelihood among the address candidates which are not added with any output suppression information as a recognized result 3. The address identifying means searches any similar address from those address candidates selected by the address preparing means, and judges whether or not the address word being characteristics for uniquely deciding each address is present, and adds the output suppression information to the address candidates according to the judged result.
