PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connecting device in which connecting operation of the both components 2, 3 and pushing operation of the latch element 5 for the release of short-circuiting of the short circuit element 4 in one of the component 2 can be carried out in a series of operation, and the whole device can be designed compact. SOLUTION: The connecting device comprises a first component 2 for supporting the first electric connector element 13, a second component 3 for supporting the second electric connector element 30 that is inserted into the first electric connector element 13, a short circuit element that is fitted to the first component 2 and electrically short-circuits the first electric connector element 13, and a latch element 5 that is a latch element 5 to be latched to the second component 3 and, when the second component 3 is inserted into the first component 2, retreats the short circuit element 4 to the non-short- circuiting position and can move to be engaged with the first component 2. As the latch element 5 is engaged, separation of the first component 2 and the second component 3 is prevented.
