PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of attaching and detaching a paper feeding cassette without getting into contact with a paper feeding roller and of surely feeding paper sheet without folding a front end, and a recording device provided with the same. SOLUTION: Paper sheet P loaded on the paper feeding cassette 10 detachably attached on a device main body is delivered by the paper feeding roller 15. Plural inclined member 19a, 19b are provided on a downstream side end part in a sheet delivery direction of the paper feeding cassette 10 and the inclined member 19a, 19b form an inclined plane getting contact with the paper sheet P delivered by the paper feeding roller 15 to separate the paper sheet P. Height of the inclined member 19a arranged in a position facing to the paper feeding roller 15 is lower than that of another inclined member 19b. Consequently, the inclined member 19a does not get into contact with the paper-feeding roller 15 when the paper-feeding cassette 10 is attached and detached.
