PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an improvement in the versatility and security of application software connected to a managed control interface for a storage system. SOLUTION: A RMI interface 108, for storage control, that is constructed with a RMI interface object 107 composed of a WWW server 103, a RMI managed object 105 and a Java RMI is mounted on the storage system 101, at the access start, a storage manager program 102 including an authentication function is distributed from the WWW server 103 to a use's WWW browser 109, after the user authentication by a user information file 104 that has been registered, an authentication key unique to the user and the RMI interface 108 that corresponds to the authentication key and has a limited function are dynamically generated with the RMI managed object 105, the authentication key is transmitted to the user's storage manager program 102, and the RMI interface 108 is allowed to use restrictively depending on this authentication key.
