PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure, to improve efficiency of interlocking contact and to reduce fuel consumption. SOLUTION: This continuously variable transmission is constituted of an A-input member 3, constituted of an input shaft 1 and a speed change part 2 with a first gear, a B output member 6, constituted of an output shaft 4 and a speed change part 5 with a second gear, a speed change part 7 with a plurality of third gears, the rolling member 8, a first moving device 11 provided with a device 9 for moving and a detent 10 and a first box 12 for journaling and storing speed change parts 2, 5, 7 having first, second and third gears and the first moving device 11. The continuously variable transmission makes each gear of the speed change parts 2 and 5 having the first and second gears and the speed change part 7 gear-interlock with a plurality of the third gears, slides and interlocks the space between the speed change parts 2 and 5 with the first and second gears facing each other via the rolling member 8, loaded slidably and rotatably into the first moving device 11 and the speed change part 7 having the plurality of the third gears and being capable of freely and continuously performing speed changes.
