PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method by which a stable image is outputted over a long term in a process cartridge having the large capacity of toner. SOLUTION: In this developing method using a developing means which has a toner storage frame body having a plurality of toner storage parts, and where the toner storage frame body is connected to a developing part holding a developing member, respective toner storage parts are connected through an aperture and have at least one stirring member or carrying member in the storage part, and the toner is moved from the storage part to another storage part by the stirring member or the carrying member or the toner is supplied to the developing part, whereby a toner image is formed and developed by using the toner, the relation between the toner storage part and the toner in the toner storage part satisfies X>=2500 and 0.2<=Ct/(X×Dt)<=0.8 (X means the total capacity (cm<3> ) of the toner storage part, Ct means the mass (g) of the stored toner, Dt means the tap density (g/cm<3> ) of the toner), and the number average particle size of the toner is 3 to 10 μm and the skewness in number distribution is >=0.00 and <=0.70. |
