PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording medium which can prevent non-serial digital data recorded in different areas from being illegally copied. SOLUTION: In this optical disk 1, new data for reproducing coded data recorded in a twohold density area 5 is generated using digital data recorded in its inner-circumferential area and digital data recorded in its outer- circumferential area. This newly generated data are the information for decoding the coded data. It can be said that this optical disk 1 has two-area in which its inner-circumferential area is physically divided from its outer-circumferential area via an interface. Concretely, this optical disk 1 generates decoding information for reproducing the coded data by a combination of the additional data of content data recorded in the inner-circumferential area and the additional data of content data recorded in the outer-circumferential area.
