PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio system capable of easily selecting a base station which receives satisfactory signals from a mobile station. SOLUTION: The radio system comprises at least a mobile station, a plurality of base stations for receiving digital signals from the mobile station, and a central apparatus. Each of the plurality of base stations demodulates received digital signals to demodulated signals to error-correct the demodulated signals as decoded signals using error correction codes before outputting, and also generates and outputs determination signals for indicating whether the decoded signals are correct signals free from errors which have been corrected b the correction codes. The central apparatus selects decoded signals which have been error corrected by referring to the determination signals from the plurality of base stations.
