PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and a control device, for a transmission device, that can be applied to a plurality of applications by slight modifications. SOLUTION: This control method for the transmission device has a step for generating command data based on an instruction from the application, a step for extracting, based on the command data, from a database, data for composing a command message to be transmitted to a transmission device part, a step for generating the command message from the data for generating a command, a step for sending the command message to the transmission device part, a step for receiving a response message from a transmission sending part, a step for analyzing the response message, a step for generating response data from the analyzed response message, and a step for inputting the response data to the application.
