PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key switch device that can maintain a keystroke large while corresponding to thinning of a keyboard. SOLUTION: This key switch device employs a configuration that guides and supports the vertical motion of a key top 1 by mutual engagement and synchronous turning of gears 12a, 12b, 22a, 22b of both gear link members. Accordingly, the structure that slides and guides a key stem up and down by a holder plate can be obviated, so that a keyboard can be made thin while maintaining the keystroke size.
