PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an intelligent dysfunction therapeutic agent having slight side effects and effective for various diseases. SOLUTION: This intelligent dysfunction therapeutic agent comprises an oxytocin or an analogue thereof as the active ingredient, wherein the oxytocin, which is a cyclic peptide hormone consisting of 9 amino acids, has been known as having uterotonic and lactiferous promoting activities. The oxytocin analogue means, particularly a peptide where the 6th Gln from the amino terminal of the oxytocin is substituted with Thr and the 3rd Pro with Gly. The intelligent dysfunction means disorders of memory, orientation, speech, judgment, or the like, specifically including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, cerebrovascular diseases, encephaloma, posttraumatic syndrome after head injury, hydrocephalus, encephalitis and meningitis.
