PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a sterilization indicator composition that detects optimum sterilization conditions for each sterilization method, and can identify difference in the sterilization methods according to the discoloration of a colored indicator after sterilization treatment in AC, EOG, PS, and formalin sterilization. SOLUTION: The sterilization indicator composition contains a bismuth compound, a sulphuric compound containing sulfur, dispersion dye having the following general expression (R1 indicates hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, or acylamino group; R2 indicates hydrogen, methoxy, or ethoxy group; R3 , R4 , and R5 indicate each hydrogen, nitric acid, or alkyl group.), an organic acid compound, a urethane/cellulose nitrate resin, a polyamide/cellulose nitrate resin, and an acryl/ alkyd/cellulose nitrate resin as an essential constituent, thus detecting each sterilization condition of the AC, EOG, PS, and formalin sterilization for discoloring, and identifying the difference in each sterilization method. |
